It doesn't make sense. Why was the house sealed after the murder?

Because the entire house was a crime scene of a very brutal murder, they didn't have cameras as good as ours where the jury could see every little speck, they had to go back in numerous times to find more evidence

Leroy New made the motion for the jury to inspect the premises at 3850 New York St. during the testimony of Jenny Likens. New himself,( as seen in this photo) did a site inspection of the premises before the Jury made the trip to the house. New noted the front door to the house was open when he arrived and was concerned about possible vandalism that might occur. I'm somewhat surprised the house wasn't secured better by the police and court till after the trial was over.
